BIP39 recovery seed

Create and confirm a 12-word BIP39 seed before encrypted wallet.dat download. Only a SHA-256 confirmation hash is stored — the words are never saved.

Recovery factor

Choose one: a user-selected 9-digit PIN (000000000–999999999) or a user-chosen 25-word phrase (exactly 25 unique words; letters / hyphenated — not BIP39 auto-generated). Switching clears the other. Only a salted PBKDF2-SHA256 hash is stored — never plaintext. Do not use an SSN, last-4, DOB, phone, birth unix time, or birth minute. BIP39 12-word seed (wallet.dat download) stays separate above.

Spend keys never leave the device. Private material is AES-GCM wrapped (PBKDF2) for local signing only — zero private-key reveal, zero raw JWK download/import panels. Encrypted wallet.dat is the only portable blob. OAuth is identity + wrap salt only — never sent to Google.
